Dustshadow was born to Gingerfur, along with his sister Flowerdust in BreezeClan. Dustshadow was a very shy kit, but when he was apprenticed he met a she-cat named Mistyheart, who was already a warrior but instantly fell in love with him. Dustshadow was not sure he loved Mistyheart back, but still took her as a mate when he was made a warrior because he knew Dawnwillow could never love him back. Then Mistyheart had a kit named Gingerpaw.
